School Poem

By Lindsay McCormick, Staff Reporter

I went to school for the first day this year, and I played with my toy car that I could steer.

The teacher was as nice as an angel in the sky, and the pencil she gave me smelled as good as pie.

She also gave me a small, new, pink eraser, and let me draw on a piece of paper.

Then she told us to put everything away, it was time to start the first day.

First we had writing, and then we had recess where we did bird sighting.

Then we came in and we did math, we learned how to to count stones on a path.

Then we left that at 3:05, that’s the rule, man how I love Siwanoy school!
