This year there are some new student teachers here at Siwanoy.  One of them is Ms. Wiggan.  Ms. Wiggan is working with 5F to become a teacher. Today I interviewed her and this is what she said:

Q:What do you think of Siwanoy?

Everyone’s really welcoming here. When I first got here instead of feeling like a outsider I felt like I belonged here.Which I think is important in a good school.

Q:Do you think that you will teach here when you graduate?

If I wasn’t leaving the state then I would definitely come teach here it is a amazing school.I love the students I teach.Even if they don’t always listen to me.Ha Ha

Q:How do you feel about teaching?

I love it. I’ve always wanted to do it.I sometimes I fell like I was born to teach.Everything else was boring or annoying.

Q: What made you want to teach?

Well in 6th grade I had a lot of free  time. What I would do was I would go down to PK 3 and help out with the kids and teach them stuff.

Q:If you could choose any grade what would it be?

Hmm.If i could teach any grade it would be Kindergarten or younger because I’ve always loved younger kids.

Q: Okay last question.Where did you live before Pelham?

I still live there now I live on the border of the Yonkers and the Bronx.

It was interesting to learn about her and we are glad we have student teachers in our building.
