The fifth grade class of 5F were assigned to a global challenge from PBS kids design squad. They had to design a wheelchair, cane or, walker that can help the user carry something with ease while on the move. They had to work in groups of 2 to design their prototype out of anything open in the imagination station including legos, cardboard, magnetic tiles, tinker toys, etc. After they made the prototype, they had to make an advertisement on a poster. They had to make a description, diagram (optional), and a price. Meri, in 5F, said, “It was really cool how no one came up with the same idea.” If your a 4th grader, this is definitely something to look forward to.
