Siwanoy School is having a hat and mitten drive for kids. The Fifth Grade is sponsoring it and it has been a success so far. We hope it will continue to be that way. You can donate hats and mittens for  kids as part of the Mount Vernon Headstart program. They can be dropped off in front of Mrs. Reynolds classroom on the third floor. The hats and mittens can be for boys or girls of  elementary school age. It is important because some kids don’t have access to them and it’s cold outside! This may seem funny to you because you have many many hats and mittens but some children don’t. The kids will be thrilled when they receive one. All hats and mittens are due by December 21. We hope you will consider donating some.
