In the classroom of 3D, I saw both classes together making a project for Marten Luther King, Jr. Day. It was in celebration of having peace and how we should be kind to everyone. Each student in the two classes had a buddy in which they made plates to symbolize peace related things. They consisted of an Earth on one side, with the words, “Let’s put our hands together, together now, and make this solemn vow, you be my friend, I’ll be yours, we’ll show the whole world how.” The classes also put a dove on the back of the plate to symbolize peace. I interviewed Harris, from 1D, he said, ” On a scale of one to 10, I rate it a 10. We made the doves by putting tissue paper on a piece of paper that looked like a dove, cut it out, and glued it onto the plate.” It was a wonderful project. Happy Martin Luther King Day!
